Great stay. I stayed in the new wing. The room was spacious and the staff were polite and made my stay the best I have had in Nepal yet. more

We were severely disappointed with this hotel considering it was booked through a package deal and were told it was a 5 star hotel. It might register a 1 star. As other reviewers have written, the 1st floor is the only acceptable level to stay on, the rooms are musty and smelly and are full of mold, anyone with allergies... more

Definitely not a 5star or even 4star but I must say the staff did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. We stayed in two different rooms on two brief visits. One did smell rather musty on the top floor but the other room on the floor below was OK. Room, bathroom and linen were clean. Breakfast... more

We just returned from Kathmandu. All I wanted to say is - I agree entirely with the earlier reviews. Despite assurances from the hotel that they have refurbished their rooms, it was not entirely correct. The rooms allocated to us were smelly, old. A word of caution - avoid staying on the first floor as we believe all the rooms... more

We were put up in this "five-star" property after our Indian Airlines Flight was cancelled. It was totally disgusting. The pictures on the walls were mildewing, there were stains on the carpet and bedspreads and the bathroom walls were cracked and peeling. The lobby and general ambience had the feel of being very well worn and neglected. We saw several... more

If you choose to stay here - it will for sure be an interesting way to start your Kathmandu / Nepal adventure. That said - let's give you a run down of our experience. Started off with our guide telling us we'd been upgraded to a 4 start hotel - oooohhh so far so good - and I'm sure at... more

Not the best of the hotels in which we stayed on our trip to India and Nepal. However, we were in the "tourist" wing, so that might account for the fact that the TV had wiring troubles (which my engineer husband fixed for our stay), smelled terribly "musty" (the clothes cupboards needed a good airing) and the uniforms of the... more
