First time staying at Westin in Taipei. Room a little small, but well appointed and clean. Staff is excellent, smooth check in and check out. This is the kind of hotel you like to have when traveling on business and comfort as well as convenience and service matters. I have stayed at the Sherton for years. Will now switch over... more

Nicely decorated rooms. Large gym. Nice Japanese style sauna. Relative small pool. Strangely, there was a note, declaring that the pool may not be used by children. Only the small hot pool may be used, which would be too hot for children. Our 8 year old son went swimming nevertheless and nobody complained. Approx. 300 m to next MTR station;... more

The Westin Taipei, is what you EXPECT from a Starwood hotel. As a preferred member I was automatically upgraded. The rooms were excellent, the service was perfect (except sometimes call to follow up on a question you asked too diligently). Overall an excellent experience! Its not very close to everything, but definitely a great hotel with excellent accommodations. more

This is the business Hotel. The reason I said that is because everything you use is expensive. They charge the local call for $25 for one minuter. So 10 minutes would be $250. Other Hotel only charged per call and and can talk unlimited minute. They also charged for using the internet in the business lounge. I can use the... more

I was a guest of the Taiwanese Government so I was treated really well. But, the low down on this hotel is that it is very fine for a business hotel. The food was wonderful and lots of it. Both breakfast and lunch were buffet style and had a huge assortment. My only complaint was the the carpet in my... more

I stayed here for three days on a business trip and thought it was great. Large room with a divider separating bathroom, bedroom and lounge. The bathroom was huge with a separate spa bath and shower. Plasma tv and large bed. Buffet breakfast covered western and oriental choices well. Was close to the offices I was visiting but probably a... more

Stayed at the Westin Taipei for a week of business recently and I really liked this hotel. Great beds, quiet rooms, nice big bathrooms (fantastic tile shower), excellent gym facilities, and convenient downtown location. My room rate came with breakfast, which was very tasty and had a variety of eastern and western foods. It's not super-luxurious, but very solid in... more

When we walked into our room for US$309 per night I was very dissapointed. The furnishings were outdated and the general feel was dirty. One of the chairs in the room had food stains on it, the bedside table needed to be wiped down, there were crumbs on the floor, the carpet needed a dryclean and the bed sheets were... more

I stayed for one night on a business trip to Taipei. Besides the fact that I had to wait 45 minutes to get my room keys upon check-in, I enjoyed th stay. I found the typical Westin standard as in any other Westin around the world, i.e. high standard. If you stay there, you won´t be disapointed. Nice service is... more
