Service: Quick & friendly. Check-in at the fourth floor was quick. Got a gd rate thru OctopusTravel cos of my local credit card promo. Upon departure, 3 bell hops helped with 50+ kg of luggage and sheltered us in the rain. If u show proof that you're a hotel guest, the internet usage is free for 10min. Have to pay... more

We had heard from friends that San Want Hotel is right above the shopping district in Taipei, so we decided to give it a try. The 'Flying Dog' airport express had a bus stop right in front of the hotel so it was an extra bonus. We didn't like the overly enthusiastic bell boys who hovered around us wanting to... more

I recently stayed at the San Want twice - first trip for 2 weeks in Oct., and then another 1 week stay Nov.. Location in shoping district plus many great resturaunts a plus; location right next to the MRT station is great for getting around town easily; the morning breakfast buffet (included in the very reasonable room price) is great... more

We have a family of 4. The deluxe twin room surely is a great choice if you are not budget constrained. I'm impressed with the cleanliness and spaciousness. Friendly staffs and convenient location. My friend initally got the superior twin but was very small. For the very mininal price difference, should go for deluxe twin. more

Just came back from Taipei. We, a family of 6 stayed in San Want for 3 nights. We took two rooms for 3 adults and 3 kids. The place is simply fabulous, clean, quiet and convenient. The location of the hotel is good, surrounded by shopping outlets. Marks and Spencers is just right in front, with Mango, Sisley just next... more

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. First two nights was one mid size & one small bed. Room is mid size, but clean. Last two nights we moved to bigger room after we came back from other city. This time, the room is much bigger and two full size beds which is good for three of us. Shower... more

Impeccable service. Large, clean rooms. Central location. The staff went head over heels to assure my stay was as comfortable as possible, whether in the dining areas or at the check-in counter. The room was large and came with free internet, cable television and a large window. Additionally, the metro station is within feet of the front door with convenient... more

Normally we're not that picky, but my wife and I weren't very satisfied with our stay at San Want. This was our most expensive hotel in Taipei, but the room was old, smelled strongly of tobacco and mildew, and the cooling didn't work well. Room was 28C when we entered, and 27C after an hour of max. cooling. Staff was... more

After hearing many great reviews from my mother's friends (all from the U.S. as well), my husband and I decided to book the second half of our Taiwan stay at San Want. The room had no air circulation and had an awful smell, even though we blasted the air conditioning. The ceiling had stains (and possibly mold--which was painted over).... more
