Apparently there are 2 Hotel Delights or Delight Hotels in Taipei- we stayed at a nice, remodeled one recommended by Lonely Planet, in the neighborhood of the Holiday Inn -- east Taipei. It's no 5-star hotel with ammenities but it is a reasonably cheap place to stay. I have stayed at a number of hotels in Taipei but this was the best. Small hotel but with excellent rooms and a very good price to quality ratio. Some of the bathrooms are absolutely great. more

It's about 5 mins walk down the street from the station. A small hotel of 8 floors but its well furnished. We loved the room and the service was great. The front desk was always all smiles, helpful and made our stay wonderful. Dont expect 5 star room service (food etc) but they clean your room spick and span dutifully... more
