We stayed at the Pathumwan Princess in March and April whilst en route to Phi Phi. This Hotel was chosen based on the reviews read here on trip advisor, and there not wrong. This is a fantastic hotel, with the best 5 star quality service at 4 star prices. The hotel staff, from door staff to reception and even the... more

Modern hotel in an excellent location. Located adjacent to MBK shopping mall, which housed thousands of stores and ideal for just popping out for "a walk" without having to get into the hot 38 degree weather. Only problem is most of the shops shut at 10pm and therefore you would need to get into a taxi to go out in... more

Have found the ideal location for anyone that loves to shop. This hotel is attached to the MBK shopping mall and also to the railway station. This means you can walk to hundreds of shops without crossing a road. The station is at the end of the mall and takes you straight to the Chatachak markets as well. Plenty of... more

We were recommended this hotel from our travel agent as this was supposed to be THE hotel to stay in in Bangkok. First impressions were great - the lobby was great and we loved the juice and wet facecloths while checking in. We were pulled to the side and told that the hotel was fully booked and we were going... more

After arriving from Australia at 6am we were expecting to be able to only be able to check in & leave our bags till after lunch but we were given access to our room at 8am for a good sleep to get our Bangkok adventure underway. Right on the doorstep of MBK gave us shopping options galore - all be... more

Enjoyed my stay here from the 18th March to 22nd March 2008. The hotel is in a fantastic location right above the huge MBK shopping mall which I am led to believe has something like 2000 small shops/stalls, a Japanese department store and huge food court. Stayed on the 16th floor overlooking the pool and wide open view of what... more

The last stop of our Far East tour was 5 days in Bangkok for (what else?) shopping. We stayed at the Pathumwan Princess for the central location to numerous malls (MBK, Siam Discovery, Siam Square, Paragon, Central World, etc.) and proximity to the BTS Skytrain, which was a quick ride to the Central Pier on the Chao Phraya River where... more

We toured around Thailand for 4 weeks, backpacking and decided to end in Bangkok with a boom. The night before we left Patong Beach (yuck) I did some quick research and booked 4 nights at the Pathumwan Princess. We pulled up to the airport in the crappiest airport taxi (seriously were straps holding the trunk down) and our big back... more

We travelled in a party of 8 in January this year. We arrived at the hotel at 7.00am after a long flight from Melbourne. Check in was very efficient considering we were 2 families of four & required 4 rooms. It was wonderful to have such great service & access to our rooms! The rooms were all lovely & very... more

Having visited Bangkok earlier before our up-country tour we returned for a couple of days before our flight home. I had chosen the PP on the basis of other reviews and also as it seemed to be a good position for a final fling. Our room was very comfortable and clean with every amenity that we wanted, although our tastes... more
