My first two nights in Bangkok were spent at the Oriental Hotel just across the river. The next two nights were spent at the Peninsula. It was like watching Ali-Frazer for the first time. So the problem for anyone with $350 a night to spare is Oriental or Peninsua. So here goes. There is no doubt that the Peninsula a... more

This my 14th stay here so I do know the place backwards. I am not sure what they have done but the hotel has just gone to whole new level of service style and ambience. The rooms are in great condition, the staff cant do enough in that beautiful Thai way, the spa is a luxurious experience, the pool is... more

I called myself "the experience traveller" visited over 15 countries and stayed numerous 5 star hotels frequently for last 14 years or so prior to my recent trip to Peninsula Bangkok. This time I did truely Experienced the genuine service and professional assistant during my stay and "concierge" "front desk" "room serivice" "spa facilities" "Hair Salon" "restaurant" and "Limousine service"... more

Me and my Husband visited the Peninsula as the first stop on our honeymoon and we we're blown away. This is truely an amazing hotel and wonderful experience. We booked the hotel Limousine to pick us up from the airport. And while it is nearly 10x the price of a taxi it was so nice being meet from a 12hr... more

This is why. 1. Flawless hotel facilities, impeccably maintained. 2. Helping hands on almost every corner from the entrance and throughout public areas. 3. Friendly professional staff 4. Breakfast buffet (about $30) offers extensive variety and most importantly for me includes Mangosteen known to help anti-aging. I only saw its extract in a bottle at Costco. This is real fruit... more

We stayed here on our Honeymoon at the end of last year and this has to be the most wonderful Hotel! From the moment we arrived we sat on our balcony and watched the "river world" go by, you can never tire of the hub of activity going past with a wonderfully mixed drink from the drinks cabinet with the... more

The Peninsula is a very beautiful hotel with contemporary bedroom with a bathroom to die for (we stayed at the Balcony Room) and excellent service. However, maybe due to the fact that the location is a bit off, there aren't many people or activities there, so if you want a luxurious and not too chaotic place to stay in a... more

My wife and I have just returned from our second stay at the Peninsula. Only one night this time, unfortunately, on a quick blast through Bangkok. Still got a hand-written note from the manager, welcoming us by name. I really can't see why you would stay anywhere else in Bangkok. At this level, I guess it's a shootout between this... more

Our family of four (two children ages 10 and 15) have traveled extensively and we have stayed in many of the finest hotels around the world. The Peninsula Bangkok is truly unbelievable. The level of service and hospitality is at the top of our list. Our rooms were connected by an entry way much like a foyer which gave us... more
