There have been people who liked this hotel and people who hated this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a budget hotel but I found my room was clean and I did not find one single bug or any signs that there had been any bugs in the room. The aircondioner worked great and cooled the room... more

I stayed at the New World Lodge on three different occassions during a three week tour of Thailand. Rooms are very clean but simple. Air Conditioning, in room safe and television were pluses. During my stay, there was construction on one side of the building which began early in the morning and sometimes continued all night. I spent little time... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and were disappointed with the accomodation. The rooms were basic, old and dirty and the staff were unfriendly. We moved to the hotel next door- Diamond House, which was cheaper and incomparably nicer. more

My partner & I had a Superior Double room for 4 nights here which was very big, spotless with a full size fridge (stocked with cheap drinks & snacks, though not quite as cheap as going to 7-11 yourself) like you'd have in your home & a balcony overlooking the (smelly) canal - this wasn't an issue for us though... more

Rooms - We booked a Deluxe Double and got a lovely clean room (412) overlooking the canal. The view over the canal isn’t that great, but it’s better than the other side, which overlooks a road & a vacant block of land. We were very happy with the customer service, the staff were most accommodating, especially since we arrived at... more

it was a terrible experience. I went for a 6 days holiday with some friends booking 2 separate rooms. on the first night, there was a terrible attack by the bed bugs biting us at least 30 to 50 times each with severe lesions from areas like hands, arms, legs, neck areas, stomach, even faces and bottoms! we had to... more

When we first weaved through the back streets, heading towards our hotel we were a little daunted! The moment we walked through the doors our opinion changed immediatly. Clean and friendly staff and well air conditioned against the thai humidity. We had a double room with our own bathroom, balacony, air conditioning and satelite TV. The hotel restaurant (Sara) serves... more

Within walking distance of Khao San Rd & royal district but far enough away to be fairly quiet. Busy hotel with lots of tour groups. We thought it was expensive for what it was - but I guess cities are like that. Room fairly large with good air-con (essential - to block out traffic noise & cope with heat). Good... more

We enjoyed our two stays at this hotel. No bugs, good location, large room, very good breakfast in a nice setting, friendly staff. Tour desk people were excellent and got us Visa's for Vietnam. We had to leave our passports with them and they met us at the Bangkok airport with the passports when we passed through to get a... more

We arrived in the afternoon and first noticed a couple of black bugs crawling around the room and blood marks on the wall from previous inhabitants (we thought mosquitoes). Willing to give the place a chance we closed the windows, put on the aircon and left for the evening to explore the sights of Bangkok. Upon our return, we discovered... more
