We stayed in two bedroom unit. The place is quite but nice and clean. Our unit has a minimalist style but it's quite spacious to accommodate five adults and a baby. The hotel has a shuttle bus service to Sala Daeng skytrain, so it's very convenient. Even when the shuttle bus is not operating, access to public transportation, eg tuk-tuk... more

I stayed at the Somerset for a week between December 07 & January 2007. I highly recommend this place. It is located in Soi Suan Plau, of Satorn road, within walking distance to the Sky Train and close to Silom area. The hotel is very peaceful and quiet and offers a nice retreat after a day in the city. The... more

This hotel is a gem...great, peaceful location off Sathorn, near Lumphini Park and 10 minutes walking distance from either Sala Deng or Chong Nonsi Skytrain stops (plus some Metro stops, but I didn't use Metro). It's suites, so for less than the price of the major hotels - we paid only $100/night! - you get a bedroom, living/dining room, kitchen... more

Bangkok is FULL of quality hotels and serviced appartments....this one is up there with the best. Not 5 star but NOT five star prices either...a real good balance of location, quality and friendlyness. i often visit Bangkok on business and this will become my prefered location for sure. Give it a try...you can get better but not this well balanced. more

This hotel is just fabulous. Breakfast - unbelievable. Lobby - awesome. Services - awesome. Rooms - beautiful. You get a full kitchen and dining area and living room and bedroom, and at such a low rate compared to Bangkok hotels. I hoped people couldn't guess I wasn't a famous ambassador so they wouldn't kick me out for being just a... more

My family stayed at Somerset Park Suanplu for five days in Dec 2007. The service apartment is spacious, and the free internet access and well-equipped kitchen are two examples that kept everyone happy throughout the stay. We have stayed in hotels in Bangkok that are near to the train stations but since there are four of us, we were fine... more

The hotel is in a relatively quiet area in the embassy area of town about a 15 minute walk from the night bazaar. Our 2 bedroom appartment exceeded expectations - pristine condition, well equipped kitchen, very spacious with great views over the Australian and German embassies. The hotel serves great breakfasts (wonderful cook who makes eggs any way you want)... more

I stayed 4 nights in Somerset Park when I first arrived in Bangkok, and one more night just before I left and I can do nothing but RAVE about the place. For under A$90, I had a huge one bedroom apartment to myself, beautifully furnished and decorated with great views and a 10 minute walk to Silom Road . Staff... more

Our first impression of this place was wow! There was a lot of room to move in the Somerset as it is an apartment rather than a hotel. The rooms have been made up with great taste. The service is fantastic and the place is quiet and calm. The only downsides were that it is not as close to the... more

Booked this accomodation last minute and the room was beyond my wildest expectations. The 2 bedroom 120 sqm room was HUGE!!! its more than adaquate living space for 2 people, and can probably hold a decent dinner party if you had to. The room itself was fantastic, everything was new. Breakfast was devine, cooked eggs for you on the spot... more
