Good location in gayborhood near the skytrain, easy to get around and friendly staff. The main complaint is that our first room was "smoking" and smelled horrible, and even when we were transferred to the "non smoking" floor, it was still there, which was very annoying. more

The location is very good. The room is OK but a little bit old fashion. The staff is cold but very competent, I must say. I don't really see the Gay side of it as advertised but... nevermind, it is still a great value for money. more

l have travelled to Thailand a few times in the past twelve months and usually opt for the more high end five star style accomodation, a guy l met told me about Tarntawan after coming to my hotel in Sukhumvit telling me of this hotel that was a quarter of the price. l took his advice and spent three days... more

I stayed at Tarntawan Place for a week in March 2008, in a Deluxe Surawong room (recommended--larger windows and quieter). Several friends of mine were staying in the hotel at the same time, and none of us had any of the problems other guests have mentioned on this site. The room was spacious, clean, quiet (I'm very sensitive to noise),... more

I have been staying at this hotel for 5 years now, sometimes twice a year. How sad to see it's standards falling so rapidly in just a year. Apart from construction work and the associated noise from 7am or earlier the hotel has failed to keep it's unblemished reputation in so short a time. Exploding light bulbs, light fittings hanging... more

You can take the airport bus AE1 and get off at "Tawana Ramada Hotel" stop and it's 10 meters away from the lane way where Tarntawan Place is. Service level is typical of Bangkok hotels in the same class. Obviously many gay clients take advantage of the no-joiner-fee benefit. Breakfast(included in rate) anytime of the day. Free in-room wi-fi and... more

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on Aug.30-Sep. 2. It takes just a few minutes' walk to reach the skytrain station, Saladang; and the famous night market, Papong, is even nearer. Though it's close to these busy places, it's very quiet and clean. The hotel looks small from the out side, but the room is spacious. I had... more

I have been staying at Tarntawan Place Bangkok regularly for the past few years. Generally speaking, this hotel offers excellent value for money, is in a great location, and staff are always welcoming and friendly. After recently being renovated, the rooms have improved (although only slightly), while the bathrooms still look like they need some work done with old fittings... more

The staff are just wonderful and go out of their way to make you enjoy your stay. The only Bad thing is when you have to leave!..we get home... more
