We stayed at Amora Tapae for a week, and found the hotel very clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious and seemd to be recently painted. From the window we could see the old city. Excellent location! The breakfast included in the price was average - not much of fresh fruit, and no fresh juices either,... more

about this hotel as the reviews all seemed to be awful, but the hotel was fine. Not the best I've stayed in, but by no means the worst. Our Deluxe Mountain view room appeared to have been newly painted, the bed was comfortable, sheets were changed daily. It was very clean. Yes the furniture is slightly old fashioned, but not... more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days on a group tour through Thailand. It was our honeymoon so our bed was covered in rose petals and we had a table with roses and a fruit basket and chocolates waiting for us. It was lovely. Chiang Mai is (so far) my favorite city in Thailand. The food is AMAZING... more

We were on the Friendly Planet tour "Treasures of Thailand," and this was our first stop. The hotel is located in an excellent location, very close to the night bazaar and walking street which was especially helpful as it was New Year's while we stayed in Chiang Mai and everything was so close. We got to see the New Year's... more

My wife and I stayed at the Amora for three weeks during October and were extremely disappointed. We were in Chiang Mai for a total of seven weeks while we studied Thai language and spent 4 weeks at the Raming Lodge and 3 weeks at Amora - we only left Raming Lodge for a change of scenery and certainly regretted... more

I booked this hotel through a well known Asian booking site, because of it's location, good rates, and supposed 4* rating. The location certainly is an excellent, central base for exploring Chiang Mai, but the hotel leaves something to be desired. The rooms were barely at the level of an average, older Holiday Inn in the U.S., and the service... more

Our stay at this hotel was pleasant and without trouble. Positives: Excellently located, good parking, clean room, pleasant staff, excellent spa. Negatives: the hotel is a touch tired in places, and some members of staff look a little bored. Overall I can recommend staying here, especially if you're going to use the excellent spa. A good hotel if you're looking... more

This hotel is conveniently located in Chiang Mai for nearby activites like perusing the night market. The carpet is a little worn down and in desperate need of being replaced as our the bathroom towels. Overall, it's certainly not the Ritz but it's an okay place to stay for a few nights in Chiang Mai. more

The hotel was convenient to everything, the staff were nice enough bar one (who I took to be a senior female staff member). The rooms were big and had a lovely view across the city. I probably would stay here again as it was handy for getting around. The breakfast had a lot of variation, the bar was very expensive... more

We have an extensive search for place to stay for 5 nights but ended up with this average place. We requested a connecting mountain view rooms but ended up a princess suite and another connecting room a few doors down the corridor. The princess suite is very nice with huge bed and space. But with the other room, I think... more
