Average stay, paid $US140 a night, didnt rate the service, many mix ups when ordering at the bar. Plus requested airport pickup which never happend, though happier to pay $US14 at the taxi stand rather than the hotels $US40 service. probably would expect better service. the white taxis at the hotel though were great for getting to appointments. more

One of the best hotels in Hanoi. We were truly impresseed by the service and we liked the convenient location just between Van Mieu (Literature Temple) and Phan Phuc (Diplomatic Area). Rooms are spacious with a tasteful interior and competle facilites for leissure and business. Room rates are still - for Hanoi - good value for money. Do not miss... more

A curious mix of great and average, the Horison is 5-star but not as you know it! Initial impressions were good – a grand marble lobby and friendly and efficient reception. Other high points were the beauty salon (which did the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had for only US$22) and the restaurant (fantastic breakfast and lunch buffets).... more

In my opinion, Horison caters to non-western business people. The majority of the guests during my stay there were mostly Asian business men. The hotel is OK. There are visible signs of wear and tear, but overall passable for a business hotel. The staff speaks English and I had no problems what so ever. Internet connection was slow. Reservations through... more

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst on a tour of Vietnam and had read some reviews before travelling that were not complimentary, especially about its location. We thought it was a very good hotel, with excellent staff, clean, spacious accomodation and great breakfast. It also has a nice pool and bathing area with an infinity pool. It isn't in the... more

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel lobby, room, and pool were decent. The lobby had lots of local art displayed which was nice to see. We were the only ones in the pool one day. We had a view of the city which was a bonus. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Internet access was pricey at... more

Booked Executive Room but was upgraded to Executive Suite room at no cost. It was a very huge room with living hall, dining table, one common toilet and king size bed with spacious bathroom. My room was located at the 7th floor. The problem with all the Executive Suite rooms were all located at the end of the block. You... more

The Horison Hanoi is a bit of a mixed bag. Superficially, its a fairly decent hotel with ok facilities. Look a bit closer, and its a bit lacking. Rooms are not bad, certainly nothing special. I had a club room, but it really had no special feature that suggested it was any better than any other run of the house... more

Great hotel. Location is great if you want to be staying a little out, away from the noise! and taxi rides to the centre are cheap. We arrived a couple of hours early and were allowed to check in. It should be noted however that it is typical in Vietnam to be charged for extended check in/out (regardless of whether... more
