This hotel is set in the middle of the French Quarter which has to be experienced to be believed, just outside the front door there is a street market which starts at 6am, overflows onto the pavements, and goes on until the curfew at 10 pm. All street lights go out at 11pm. There are loudspeakers at intervals along the... more

My wife and I just returned form a twenty one day tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. We stayed at four and five star hotels throughout with the exception of one three star hotel - the Hoabinh Palace. To say we loved this hotel is an understatement. The staff were first rate, the rooms very comfortable and cozy and the location... more

There are two hotels in Hanoi called Hoa Binh - this one is called the HoaBinh PALACE hotel and is located on Pho Hang Be the other does not have the word PALACE in its name and is an older hotel with only three floors. This hotel which is located across the road from an amazing local food market and... more

My wife and I stayed at the Hoabinh Palace for 4 nights from April10 to April 14th 2008. I chose the hotel on the basis of its location in the old quarter and the good reviews from various internet sites. I also opted for a pick up by private car from the hotel although you can take a local taxi... more

I have stayed here twice & I have had consistently good experiences. The hotel is conveniently located in the old quarter and not too far from Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are pretty good by worldwide standards and fantastic compared to a lot of Vietnam hotels. I didn't have the breakfast, but it's included and served on the top floor... more

Deal with the hotel directly and you will find expedient and reliable service. Check their website. Pick up booked from airport relieved possible pressure of the initial taxi rip off. The hotel is very clean and prides itself on good service from all sources. Pretty amazing for a 3star hotel. (you would expect this from a 5star!) Breakfast was a... more

This hotel is located in the heart of the old quarter in Hanoi. The old quarter is a noisy and crowded place with motorbikes, cars and street-shops all around. The Hoa Bihn Palace is a very nice hotel in this district, and it is close to everything. The hotel may pick you up at the airport or train-station, but it... more

We were in and out of the Hoa Binh for over a week last November at the beginnng of an extensive trip to Vietnam, totally wary of being in so strange an environment. We found the situation of the hotel asolutely delightful - walk outside and you are in another world - the Old Quarter of Hanoi. At night you... more

The hotel is located right in the middle of the old quarter, which is a very interesting place to be. The staff was very accomodating, when we asked to change rooms. We had initially reserved one of the larger rooms, but they are located in the front of the hotel, which means they are a bit on the noisy side... more

Hotel is in a great position on Hang Be Street. The room was no better than other hotels I had stayed in (at a cheaper rate). Breakfast was of average quality. The massage parlour was quite seedy, and the staff on duty smoked next to the massage areas. Go somewhere else if you can. more
