Hanoi Backpacker's Hostel is run by an Australian couple who have clearly thought of everything that a backpacker ould want, and it is a welcome respite from grungy guesthouses and cheap hotel rooms that shoestring backpackers find themselves in throughout the rest of Vietnam. Located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi city, there are numerous shops, bars, restaurants, banks, ATMs... more

We stayed in Hanoi Backpackers for 4 nights in total. While it had a great atmosphere, we disovered ffriends of ours were staying jsut a few seconds down the round in a nice hotel with private rooms, air con and sat tv for less than what we were paying for a dorm! We booked a trip with the hostel to... more

Sounded great on the Internet ,was 35 dollars per night, most 3 star hotels around the corner are 25 dollars with hot water and all comforts. BBQ was a joke .dirty , no point in ruffing it at this hostel when its cheaper to stay in a comfortable hotel more

we had a private double room which was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The roof top bar hosted happy hour every day and a free keg of beer on sunday which was very popular and a great chance to catch up with fellow travellers. The tour we booked was cheaper than the advertised price... more

A standard 5 stop ticket is $35 and for a sleaper bus it's $50 but the company they use (An Phu) is terrible. The sleaper buses are not at all like the... more

We stayed at a private room at Hanoi Backpackers Hostel for $25 per night (we found out the rates went up Dec 1 to $30 per night, so we ended up paying more for our last 2 nights). We really liked the location (just a few blocks from the lake in the Old Quarter) and having a private room was... more

I booked a room for 4 from this hostel after reading many good reviews on the net. I also booked a van to pick us up upon arrival at the airport in the evening. The guy in charge of picking us up was early but our transport was late. We were excited to be in Hanoi and joked and laughed... more
