This is not a hotel - this is a disco with rooms attached to it! Many members of the group we travelled with complained about the disco noise ( 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., heavy metal music) in their rooms on floors 3 and 4, and asked for rooms higher up in the building. Certainly avoid room 204 which is directly above the disco - but the view from the balcony at 4am is great when you can't sleep. If you really must stay here - and the rooms were large and clean and the breakfast was great and the view from the roof is superb - suggest room 211. I was moved here... more

Take earplugs if you stay at the Palace Hotel. The nightclub on the 1st floor which operates every night from 9pm until 2.30am sends a subtle but brain- frying bass beat through rooms as high as the 8th floor.
