I would stay at the Cambodiana again, but only for a lower price. I paid $95/night, which I think was too high for what is essentially a large mid-range hotel. However, the hotel has great views of the river and is in a good location for traveling around the city. Rooms are comfortable, a bit worn, and clean. Service was... more

Considering to be in Cambodia, the service offered can be considered above the average. The staff is definitely not well prepared and trained like in the rest of SE Asia, but OK. The most important thing is that the room is really clean. The Hotel is located at the end of the city river bank and many rooms have a... more

The Cambodiana is an older hotel in a country that has been through hell and the staff at the Cambodiana are mainly very good representatives of the friendly Cambodians. The hotel is fine and its well located. When you want to go sightseeing in the heat, the Bell Captain will call a Cyclo and help to arrange the cost and... more

We called on spec as we had a last minute change of plans. 3 of us, wanting 2 nights. At first they said they could only do one night. As it was late and we were tired, and we had already tried 2 other hotels, we said we would have the 2 rooms. They then decided that they could do... more

We were part of a small tour group that spent one night at Hotel Cambodiana. This huge, attractive looking central hotel did not live up to it's appearance. The entrance lobby was pleasant but guest registration on the 5th floor was disorganized and seemed surprised by our arrival even though it was late afternoon. Our large room overlooking the main... more

Must admit I was concerned after reading the reviews on here - bt it was impossible to find accomodation when we wanted to go and this hotel offered a double room at $115 per night so we booked and hoped for the best/ Journey didn't start so well as the hotel driver lost his car park ticket so we had... more

We paid about 75 USD for our room. I think you can do better at one of the smaller boutique hotels along the river. But we booked late for the week between Christmas and New Year's. The downside: The lobby was garish - florescent lighting and lots of red and gold. I think the hotel probably caters to tourists from... more

We stayed here for three nights in Jan 08 - Probably the worst in class in Asia - Really tired, grubby interiors and staff are indifferent at best. It began with our booking a non-smoking, quiet room. We got a smoking room complete with ashtrays, cigarette burn marks on the plastic, crazed hand basin, smelly curtains and bedspreads from the... more

We stayed here for New Year's Eve 2007 and were disappointed from the start. From the first glimpse of this hideous eyesore from the road, we knew this hotel wasn't for us. It is a blight on the city landscape, and I cringed every time I went through the hotel gates. The lobby is horrid. Full of busloads of package... more

I stayed at The Cambodiana for 2 nights. I chose it as it has the reputation for being Phnom Penh's premier hotel - a reputation most undeserved. I paid $102 / night for the room. This hotel is a jaded relic of a former era. It reminded me of Soviet built government hotels for high ranking party officials and visiting... more
