Booked for 1 night at one of the rear facing rooms. It looks into a building in the middle of construction, but fortunately there wasn't much construction noise or dust. The room was adequate, though just slightly musty . The hotel provided hotel and a bar a soap (Imperial Castel) but no shampoo! Hot water and water pressure was good.... more

I tried to overlook the too-small room with the dirty sheets and focus on the nice pool, but when we moved up to the reasonable sized $52 room, the minimal hot water and the ants and the lack of curtains in the east facing room and the construction site just outside the door was too much for that price in... more

We stayed here a couple of years ago for $45.00 a night. The hotel organised free airport pick up for us which was great. The hotel itself is down a side street (unlit) and reasonably central and a few minutes walk to all the bars etc. It has its own 24 hour security so no problems there and there is... more

My husband has stayed at The Billabong on three previous occassions and always described it as an 'oasis'., so when we both recently visited Cambodia it seemed the logical place for us both to stay. The hotel can't really be seen from the street, but when walking into the entrance you do suddenly feel ,like my husband decribed, that you... more

Before going to Phnom Penh we were a little hesitant about our hotel booking. Since we were backpacking the rate of 39USD was a little over our budget - but after checking in we learned we really got our moneys worth! First of all - location. Since Phnom Penh is quite small compared to other capitals you can easily manage... more

A very good small hotel in an excellent location. Had a pool side room that was spacious and pleasant. Bathroom was old but clean. The staff are fantastic and provide excellent service. The pool is rather crowded during weekends due to locals paying to use it, but I can find no other fault with the hotel or staff. Very good... more

I loved the ambiance around the pool and the great food. The standard rooms are cute and attractive if a little small. They have large wardrobes TV and comfortable bed. The Shower rooms were small, neat and well fitted. I was not so enthusiastic about the Deluxe rooms which were large but not very well fitted. There were no wardrobes,... more

Had a fantastic 3 day stay. Booked a superior room for $52 a night for me and friend. The room was well equipped, spacious, great decor, comfy and even had a balcony. The hotels staff couldn't do enough to help, were pleasant and welcoming. And that pool... amazing to be in city centre Phnom Penh but have a great area... more

Room was a little small but very clean. Nice decor etc, bathroom basic but enough. The staff are great and the food was fine but about double what you pay in one of the many local cafes just around the corner. Biggest problem was overweight balding western men hanging out in the pool with young ( very young) local sex... more

A lovely relaxed and friendly oasis. Staff very friendly; breakfasts were excellent; standard rooms a little small but compact; deluxe room had no wardrobe or chairs; had to use a glass cabinet for clothes storage? very convenient for the central market and shops; swimming pool was excellent; would recommend and visit again. more
