the rooms are terribly overpriced, staff are unfriendly, there is a stench of sewage, breakfast is extra (and at $8 per person one of the most expensive in town) and you cannot cancel without losing one night's deposit. I don't know about the ordinary rooms at the back but the large suites on the riverside with a balcony are quite good (even though the view on the Tonle Sap was polluted by the works there) and tastefully decorated with asian clothes and furniture. The location is great! I was a little put off by paying for a night up front and also having to give up your key whenever you leave. There just seemed to be a great deal of distrust. The other thing that was a turn off was the staff (especially outside), are dressed in what appears to be military uniforms.... more

We stayed one night and the minute we arrived were asked to pay up, before we'd even been into our room - some staff need customer service training. Very good rooms, our huge suite was quite comfortable and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful, but the owner was not.
