Our first stay was booked via asiahotels website and cost $85pn inc. breakfast. Nice size room, though I had to request a chair and table to use my laptop. Realising there was no wifi, due to my misunderstanding their website (I always select only wifi-equipped accommodation, providing it exists) the hotel lent me a network cable, as I hadn't brought... more

Stayed at the Novotel in December. Our stay was spread over 2 legs. It is about 10 minutes from the airport and about 15-20 minutes walk into the town centre. The room given to us on our first leg smelt a bit smoky but we found out that it was because of our neighbours smoking and the amoke just seeped... more

Stayed at the Novotel Vientiane in November for (1) night, the Property is nothing much to look at from the outside, but we where very pleased with our Delux Room, the service was first class. Pool was good, not a lot of atmosphere as the property is ALL Hotel with no grounds at all, just the small court yard area... more

I really liked this hotel despite the fact that it is a bit run down. It's a 15 minute walk to town, & there are plenty of tuk tuks if you don't want to walk. The staff are friendly & helpful. The buffet lunch is recommended. more

We chose this hote because it was a Novotel and we were staying in Vientiane for 2 nights and wanted a reasonable place to stay before going to Laos. Worst Novotel I have ever been at!! Beds were hard as stone. Woke up each morning (and several times during the night) in pain. Others in my party felt the same.... more

I thought that this hotel could do better with better organsiation. It did remind me of a Communist style hotel..you know the ones i mean! Food was good as was the resturant. One had to pay for the pool though $5 USD which I thought was kind of strange. The staff were 'detached' alittle and seemed to be 'elsewhere' when... more

Laos is not the most sophisticated place when it comes to tourism and I think reviews of tourism infrastructure need to be seen in that light. I stayed in the Novotel Vientiane for 3 nights. The room was more than adequate, plenty big enough with all the facilities I could reasonably expect, although it is obvious that the hotel is... more

I stayed here for 5 nights as part of a business trip. Room was clean and tidy, and fairly spacious. Bed was rock hard; I did not sleep very well. Airconditioning in room was not cold even though I had dialed it down to the lowest temp. Restaurant and breakfast was decent. Considering how much everything costs compared to international... more

Stayed here on two separate nights whilst travelling in Laos. We had different rooms on each stay - the first time being upgraded to a corner suite. The rooms are a little dated, but clean and tidy. If I was staying again on a private visit, I would not pay the extra for a suite, as it is unlikely that... more

we stayed there for 6 nights. The rooms are spacious and clean, the river and town just a short walk away.It could be a very good place. But the management succeeds in making it unpleasant: -the quiet inside rooms are exposed until midnight to the very noisy hip-hop deafening music of the discotheque. No guest was ever there - I checked it several... more
