We have just returned from a week from Istanbul and this hotel was our base. Its a nice hotel. although its 4 stars (in the UK it would probably be 3 stars), having said that it many benefits. Positives Its in a good location to explore Istanbul. The tram stop is about 3 mins walk. (trams are cheap and a... more

A friend stayed there and recommended it for its price. The rooms are not the biggest but for the price you pay they're OK. The hotel is just 2 blocks from the metro(tram) stop. The area is not very touristic, but it only takes a 10-minute-ride to get to the main spots. Breakfast is OK. Tip: book directly through the... more

I stayed 9 days at this hotel over Christmas 2007. I found the hotel pleasent, and the staff very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of the Aksaray tram stop. We used the trams a lot to get around Istanbul. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Fatih Mosque, Istanbul University, the Grand Bazaar and the Shehzade... more

A warm welcome awaited me at the Yigitalp Hotel on my recent stay in Istanbul. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Complimentary fruit and wine in room was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean and contained everything necessary for my week long stay. Hotel is situated in a good position to see all major sites without any... more

We have just returned from the Hotel Yigitalp and were very impressed. The photos on website do not do this hotel justice. Rooms were bigger than we expected, breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, hotel was lovely and clean, all staff very friendly and helpful. Lady on reception had excellent English language skills. Hotel is situated in a good... more

We stayed at the Yigitalp Hotel during one week while we visited Istanbul. It is situated near the Grand Bazaar and there are also a lot of restaurants close to the hotel (near the bridge). Take into account that there are also several exchange offices very close to the hotel so it is better to change there than in the... more

The Yigitalp is a good hotel for someone travelling to Istanbul for a few days. Located in the old city it is very close to all the main tourist sites. The rooms are clean but small. Not much of a view from the hotel. The staff is friendly and pleasant. more

I booked this hotel for 4 nights in Easter holidays and I had a horrible experience. Myself & my wife went to Istanbul for her birthday and though it would a good idea to stay in a hotel which is central and value for money. They charged EUR75 per night. Though the hotel is categorised as a four star hotel... more

We came on a package and I expected something far inferior. The Yigitalp was very comfortable and had everything anyone would want - decent sized bathroom, minibar, room service, hair dryer, maid service and very ample breakfast. While the men at the front desk were at times a little testy, it was still highly recommended and just 2 or 3... more
