I stayed for a night at the Meridien. The room was a little worn but large and no problems other than the bath had lost the plug! Breakfast was a perfectly good buffet with excellent coffee. The room service was the best I have had in a long time. It was a limited menu, but the pizza and salad were... more

We had a horrible experience at the Crown Plaza (see my review of that property), and ended up having the clerk there reserve a room for us anywhere else he could find. Just as I found the positive reviews of the Crown Plaza to not match my experience, same with the negative reviews of Le Meridien. We ended up in... more

The hotel is seemingly a Le Meridien on the beach, however: it does not compare to any Meridien hotels I know, the rooms are so dowdy (I stayd for six nights and changed rooms frequently), the furniture condition worn, the plants in the building brown, and the atmosphere impoverished. The access to the beach is problematic (one needs to go... more

Check-in was no fun as the rooms were not ready for much of our party (at 19:00 in the evening!) but other than that it was okay. The room itself was nice and clean. Best thing about Le Meridien is the easy access to the north-south train. The Hof HaCarmel station is only a 20 minute walk down the boardwalk... more

Well, this is clearly what I read here about hotels in Israel. Massive hotel, right next to the sandy beach, but not well kept. Helpful staff, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. I choose this hotel because of the sea, but bear in mind it is miles away from the city center. The room was not what I expected, though I... more

After reading what others had to say about Le Meridian in Haifa, we were quite reticent about staying there even at the suggestion of Artzeinu tour guides in Israel (Rivkah is extrememly helpful), But my wife and I both enjoy beaches so there you have it, the only place available in Haifa on the beach was Le Meridian. We found... more

Great food, lovely view from room, but that's where the good news ends! Arrived mid-afternoon but the room wasn't ready until 9.30PM! Signage in hotel and bizzare lift stops made getting anywhere within the hotel confusing and time-consuming. Following the sign to the beach from the dining room led me to a vast underground car park ending with a locked... more

The hotel is decent and the breakfast is great. Also the location is wonderful, few steps from the ocean. The biggest problem I had was with the staff. One of the staff told me that direct dial from the phone to the US would cost ~$5 per minute. So I made about 6 minutes worth of calls. Imagine my shock... more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in mid-July, 2005 and it was a mistake from the moment we walked in. There was some kind of low rent disco-party happening in the lobby when we attempted to check in which gave it the vibe of a bad pick-up joint rather than a nice hotel. We couldn't get anyone to... more
