There’s nothing wrong with the Dan Boutique. Several reviews on Trip Advisor suggest that it’s rubbish but this is not the case. Décor is very much in the modernistic style – if you’re into Queen Anne furniture, this is not the place for you. There are flat screens all round the public rooms showing animated shorts from students – some... more

I lived in Jerusalem from 2002 to 2004 and I love this city. Since 2004 Ive been back several times, visiting several different cities, staying at several different hotels. I was very intrigued by the Dan Boutique, the website really gripped me and made me want to book my stay there for my birthday. I should have chosen an old... more

Stayed with my husband and 8 year old daughter for 4 nights. Our room was a "studio" with queen bed and a fold-out sofa. Very large area to spread out all our "stuff"- we are in Israel for several weeks total. The DB has a "hip" look throughout after its recent refurbishing in changing over from its incarnation as the... more

My wife, 10 month old baby and I were planning a visit to Jerusalem in June 2008. I was planning on booking the King David or the American Colony but since the first was all booked and the 2nd was asking for $900 a night I decided to try the Dan Botique for two nights before moving to the Colony.... more

We were part of an 80 member group who stayed at the hotel between 5 and 12 May. We were constantly reminded that the hotel had done us a HUGE favour taking such a big group, so soon after opening. As far as I am concerned, either they were open for busines, or they were not! Our room on the... more

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights on our recent trip to Israel. It was the nicest and cleanest hotel we stayed in during our trip; I enjoyed it more than our stays at the larger hotels such as Dan Panorama in Haifa and Sheraton in Tiberias. This is a new hotel, and they are still doing some... more

When we visited Jerusalem in February 2008, we went to take a look at the Dan Boutique - where we had booked a room for our trip in May. We had booked on line and the photos of the rooms were fantastic. However when we visited, it was an artist's impression. The hotel said it would be open in two... more

I stayed in the Dan Boutique over the Passover holiday excluding Seder night. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and staff. Here's my ratings: Staff - Even though I live in Israel and am used to absolutely no customer service, Dan Boutique provided tons of excellent service. Staff were actually helpful and even polite (an oxymoron in Israel). Even... more

Was excited to hear that Dan had gone out to create a boutique trendy hotel in the heart of Jerusalem, so we didnt hesitate to try it out. The reception of the hotel is probably as good as it gets: from then on you can see Dan's objective: do up an old hotel with a splash of paint, throw in... more

The lobby has a slightly strange W-hotel-wanna-be aesthetic, which seems out of place. And black carpet is a terrible idea for dusty Israel. But overall the place is really cute, the rooms are sleek and new. It's located about a 10-minute walk from Zion & Jaffa Gates, so access to everything is good. Only downside: they hadn't quite figured out... more
