The Jerusalem Hotel was wonderful from start to finish! We stayed here for a week and were sad to leave. We actually crossed the border from Jordan across the King Hussein/Allenby bridge into Jerusalem, which was much easier than I thought it would've been. The hotel is OK. Location is good, price reasonable and there are some nice characterful aspects to the interior. However, the decor and food in the restaurant are tired (even the menus themselves are tatty) and the service can be terrible. We stayed at the Jerusalem for several nights in January 2008. Unfortunately, the weather being particularly cold coincided with probelems the hotel was having with it's hot water and heating. The building and furniture are wonderful but the place is very dark and quite tired. Cleaning is not all it should be. We had a small room with single beds.... more

Spent a week in Nov 07 at this hotel. Superb location for the old city, 2 mins from Damascus Gate. Staff friendly and rooms are great if you want that 'old jerusalem' feel. Food superb. I would stop at this hotel again in the future. more
