We booked a last minute room at the Cedarland in Hamra. The hotel is in a great location, near the university. The street is lively but not too noisy at night. I stayed at the Cedarland in Hamra in June just before the war. We had been staying at Casa D'Or, which is also lovely, but the Cedarland beat them on price by a mile.
