We were staying at the Arabia Felix Hotel and we were taken to Burj al Salam by a Yemeni friend for lunch at the restaurant terrace on the top floor. The hotel, which is run by Italians, is very stylish and the atmosphere very relaxing. The view from the top floor is amazing and you can have delicious Italian style... more
Had a wonderful four-night stay at the Burj Al Salam in March 2008. The location of the hotel absolutely can't be beat - right in the heart of Old Sana'a, comfortable walking distance to the Bab al Yemen and the shopping areas. The rooftop terrace provides a birds-eye view of the old city which will allow for some excellent photographs.... more
We stayed here for 2 nights, went away around other parts of Yemen and were eagerly looking forward to return, which we did for another 3 nights. Love the stylish and tastefully decorated rooms. It took the owners 8 years to restore the building to be one of the best accommoation in Sana'a. It had the only lift inside Old... more

If you wish to spend a little bit... more

August 2007: I've just come back from a week in Sanaa, Yemen, and have been staying at a new hotel in the heart of the old city, called the Burj al Salam hotel. They rate themselves a 4 star, and I would tend to agree. The building is new (less than 1 year old), yet is built so as to... more
L'hotel è situato nella Sana'à vecchia, vicino al Suk, gestito con attenzione dalla instancabile Signora Mirella. Una terrazza, un thè... more
