Casapueblo is definitly a must see place. Everyone who goes to Punta usually head to Casapueblo restaurant for an outstanding sunset. But Casapueblo is also a nice Hotel with an unique architeture where you can appreciate this sunset in your private room balcony, which is even better. Rooms are nice but don't expect a five stars room, despite the price.... more

What an amazing hotel to look at! Great architecture (for it's kind). That was the good part! The service is terrible and the prices at the restaurant is astronomical! This hotel is simply a tourist trap, beware! They keep running this hotel on it's reputation without improving anything. You pay the big price to imagine how it Use to be... more

Place, Building, room, garden, pool, view, weather - perfect. But 6 km to the supermarket, and 15 km away from next little town (Punta del Este) with restaurants, shops etc. Staff: friendly Service: Bad. No shop (no newspaper, no chocolate, no shampoo, no phonecards...). Restaurant monday closed. Snackbar only Sandwichs. Breakfast no eggs, no rolls, only frozen bread and factory-products.... more

Stayed one night in Casapueblo, as I knew from reading the other reviews that the hotel is far from the center of the city. It really is a beautiful and distinct hotel. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. The front desk is also very helpful. The only downfall is that the restaurant is barely open and the food... more

This place is for those who love art and nature above everything. It's simple, the restaurant is just OK, the gym is not superequiped, but it's priceless to walk and sleep inside such a piece of art. The rooms are big, with a huge bathroom with a great shower (at least the one I was). All rooms have a balcony... more

Don't expect 5-star service for a 2-star price. This property has plenty of faults, but I'd stay here again in a minute. Hotel Casapueblo is one-of-a-kind: no other hotel exists like it in the world. It's beautiful, charming, bizarre. The view from the balcony at night is amazing. If you've ever wondered what it's like to crawl inside a Gaudi... more

DId't have my reservation on arrival, they gave me a BAD room for the night with noisy pipes and toilet noise all around all night. Next day was treated with contemp by the reception manager and decided to leave. It could be a fenomenal place but it is so badly ran that is not worth staying there, go for drinks... more

Spent about a week here this New Years and while the hotel itself has such incredibly potential -- the cliffside perch and views are absolutely breathtaking and the structure has such wonderful charm -- but... the service was despicable. The front desk staff, when approached regarding the several complaints we voiced (minor complaints) were unwilling to assist and in fact... more

First of all, I want to underline that this hotel is maybe the main landmark in Punta del Este and a tourist attraction itself. This makes it worth visiting. The hotel is a magical 9-storey mediterranean building hanging from a cliff and facing the sea -actually, the River Plate. The lobby, on the top floor -you access the hotel from... more

Stayed there with some friends for 4 days during Xmas holidays. Casa Pueblo is about 15 km from Punta del Este and about Km 25/30 from La Barra. This means that you have to take taxis every time you want to move and this is quite expensive! The view from Casa Pueblo is fantastic but unfortunately this is the only... more
