We stayed one short night before final departure to US and were booked by travel agent. Hotel belongs to the category of luxurious but faceless modern establishment that is very good when you need quick and efficient relax-recharge but might be boring for a longer vacation when you are open for something more original and eventful. Expect bouquets of roses... more

We stayed here at the end of our trip with Globus/Avalon Waterways tour. It was a nice hotel, very pretty inside the lobby. we stayed only one night. The room was a typical hotel room. The bathroom was large. There are a ton of restaurants in the hotel. We ate at Darts which was a fun alternative after being in... more

Stayed at the hotel for three nights after a two week nile cruise in Aug 2006 and was looking forward to a nice relaxing time, and a high quality hotel. I found the rooms to be ok, but thought it was ridiculous to charge for tea and coffee in the room. Our stay started with the obligatory begging room cleaner... more

Very run down.Worn carpets in rooms and hallways.Tired looking rooms, dirty bathroom. Staff uninterested in quests.Everybody looking for tips. Reception staff unpleasant. We booked a hotel taxi to take us to the pyramids. The driver stopped at 2 places on route to put us in an awkward situation where a forceful sales pitch was made to try an make us buy overpriced... more

Very disappointed with this hotel, we stayed here on the last night of our holiday as it was extremely close to the airport and we had a very early flight. First the car we had arranged from the hotel didn't appear at the airport, then when we checked in, it took an hour for our bags to be brought to... more

Stayed Sep 21, 2006 for 1 night. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle on the hour every hour. It is about 10-15 minutes drive away from the airport. Beautiful hotel. Large lobby. Really nice rooms. Many restaurants to pick from. I ate in the Cafe and the prices were good. For an airport hotel it is a great choice.... more

From the outside the hotel looks like rundown 70's hotel, but once you get inside it all changes. The staff was nice but that all changed when majority of them started to ask for TIPS for everything they tried to do (thing you typically don't tip hotel workers at other hotels). The rooms in my opinion were very bad due... more

We stayed here whilst my husband was in Cairo on business last year. Although it is obviously not as central as most of the other hotels in Cairo, it has other benefits such as the large pool, which was bliss to sit around. The food in all the restaurants was good and we never experienced anything other than excellent service.... more

A good hotel for an overnight stop as it's close to the airport, but I would not like to stay here for any other length of time. Our first stay in Cairo was at the Mena House Hotel which was absolutely fabulous, but on our return home we stayed at the Sheraton for one night simply because of it's location... more
