We had a really nice stay at this hotel. Luxor was my favorite city in Egypt. The best part about this hotel was the pool right next to the Nile. It was partiuclary heavenly after our very HOT tour of the West Bank. It felt so good to come back from that tour and lounge by the pool, ordering drinks... more

My GF and I stayed in the Sheraton Luxor for 1 week in July 2007 following a week's cruise on the Nile. The hotel is very comfortable, with excellent service (except the main restaurant which was slow) and beautiful rooms. We had originally booked a garden view room, but as the garden was practically coming in to meet us (ie... more

Recently returned from Egypt and stayed at the Sheraton Luxor. I thought the entire staff at the hotel was wonderful. We ate the breakfast buffet daily and had lunch mostly at the pool restaurant. There are sailboats right below the hotel and we took a sunset sail with "Shakespere" . This was a certainly a highlight of the time that... more

Ok i'll try to keep this short as usual. it's a comfortable stay. the hotel is on it's own at the end, so its nice and quiet in that you dont step out directly into the hassle of the locals! We were blessed enough to be given a bungalow room which we loved as it was right near the pool-... more

Just got back from staying at the Sheraton in Luxor and don't know where to start! Had a fantastic time! We stayed in a bungalow over looking the nile which was lovely! As mentioned in previous reviews - the main hotel in under renovation, however, this did not effect our stay in any way in some ways, it was better!... more

We are still in Egypt and will be returning to Oxfordshire this week. The Sheraton is still being renovated and half the rooms in the still unavailable. If you are looking for Gold and Silver do not shop in Sheraton Shop as VERY expensive try Yorkshire Bobs just outside the Hotel. The hotel Staff are the very best we have... more

Recently returned from Egypt where we did a Nile Cruise for 7 days, then 3 days in Cairo and last 4 days in Luxor. Turned up at the Sheraton after dropping off other holiday makers at Sonesta st george and Nile Palace. The first impression of hotel was a good one, the lobby/foyer area and restaurant have all been recently... more

Its Located just at the Nile Bay and you can go take the Fallukkha the moment you come out of the hotel. But the rooms Suck big time, bad old interiors, Dirty Carpet. The Whole rooms needs to be broken down and renovated, probably combine 2 rooms and make 1 room, as the rooms now are really small. Specially when... more

Having stayed at the Sheraton Luxor regularly for the last 12 years, I find myself agreeing that it needs renovating, particularly the bedrooms, the ground floor already having been done, -we always have a Nile view room, usually on the 3rd floor. Half of the rooms have been closed off and the updating started, should be finished by Xmas 08,... more

Very in need of renovation. Food is average, although they do have three restaurants on site. The view is excellent and the pools are very nice. But avoid your room - better yet, don't even turn on the lights so you don't see it at all. You can do worse, so if every where else is booked and you get... more
