i have just returned from a six night stay at the Morris and its just as well I did not read many of the negative reviews before i went. I found the place a wonderful haven of relaxation. The place is quite new and modern with a traditional twist with beautiful ornate columns winding staircase and beautiful marble. the staff... more

I was so looking forward to my stay at the Morris ( travelling 2 western girls ) ....The hotel staff were supposed to become family and make your stay in Luxor!!! On arrival ..the hotel is in a back street which looks a bit seedy....we checked in ok ..but no one introduced themselves or offered any tips etc....the room on... more

The hotel had a very good location. The rooms were reasonable, staff were friendly, the bathroom was okay, as was the breakfast. I really could not complain about this hotel as you pay so little for it. If i wanted to stay at a budget hotel in Luxor i would pick this one. Please feel free to email me with... more

Eight of us visited Luxor and the Morris for my sixtieth birthday. We had an absolutely wonderful time, not least that we all gelled together and had fun but also with the support of the excellent staff at the Morris. That is the reason I am giving it an excellent holiday overall. I’m trying to be very objective of our... more

I booked this on the strength of the reviews on this site and I'm really struggling to understand what sort of hotel standards most of these reviewers are used to. Yes, I have been to Egypt before & yes I appreciate their standards are not as high as in Europe but this really was the worst hotel I've ever stayed... more

I hope all the staff get to hear about the reviews from guests likee myself who have stayed at the Morris Hotel. They deserve to hear about the good feeling they give to thier clientelle. The Morris is as yet an unfinished hotel but the part that is still to be finished does nothing to affect the part that is... more

It was based on the reviews about this hotel that I made my decision to book it - And now I have been and spent 7 miserable nights there so tell me, What Are You All Talking About?! It was rubbish! We hated it. Apart from us the only other guests it seemed were the local people and probably relations... more

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Egypt. We have so many wonderful things to say about the Morris Hotel that we don't know where to begin! After spending four days in Luxor, we can honestly say this is our Egyptian home away from home, and if ever in Luxor again, we will go back without a... more

My partner Julie and I have just got back after a week at the Morris Hotel - I have two main comments: 1 week was not enough & Can't wait to go back! I read the reviews prior to booking and these were partly why we booked the Morris, also because we liked the look of the rooftop terrace /... more
