We initially booked the Dolphin Hotel. The first room we were given was very poor even to African standards. It clearly had not been cleaned as there was hair from the previous guests on the bed and furniture. The toilet had not been cleaned and was filthy. On the whole the room was to a very poor standard and dirty... more

The first thing that impressed us about ASC, was the price. For a two week holiday with all flights and food was little more than £500 each. Usually a flight alone will cost you that. After reading the bad reviews we were worried about the standard of the hotel, but needn’t have been. I have been to Africa very often,... more

This is now our 13th trip to Kenya but our first with African Safari Club. We found the company to be first class from booking our trip, flight and then to a superb resort in The Dolphin Hotel. The staff at the hotel were excellent and are just there to help and assist and desperately want to make sure that... more

We knew we really needed an holiday in Kenya despite the political crisis. We booked our holiday and stayed in Kenya for two weeks in Jan. Many FCOs had cancelled their flights to Kenya but we were encouraged to try the ASC. Despite some bad reviews about ASC we feel different about the Dolphin hotel. We didn't know what to... more

We (my wife, 8 years old daughter and me) have returned from Dolphin Hotel in Mombasa. We stayed there for 14days.The hotel is on very nice position at beach, but it obviously needs some renovation. As i talked with other guests, we were quite lucky to get well preserved room. Anyway, rooms are clean, mosquito nets have no holes and... more

This was the holiday of a lifetime for me all aspects exceeded my expectations! I did have some concerns after reading comments on this website, and wished I hadn't read them. However my experience was one of excellent service from African Safari Club, all members of the Dolphin staff and Leopard Lodge where I went on safari. I would comment... more

My boyfriend and I (age 19&22) went to dolphin hotel, mysterious Zanzibar cruise & crocodile camp/Kimana camp on safari with African safari club. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. One tip is to not expect luxury, it is a 3rd world country after all, one night we were there it was really windy and there was a short rain... more

I stayed at the Dolphin hotel, Kenya from the 9th-23rd June’07. Overall, I had an amazing time in Mombasa, Kenya, but had a few minor issues with African Safari Club (ASC), the corporation that own Dolphin hotel along with Flamingo and Shanzu hotels. The location and beach views are breath-taking, with lots to do outside of the hotel. If you... more

We travelled from Canada to join family from Ireland to visit Kenya an Indian Ocean Cruise and a Safari. My advise is if you choose to use ASC then be prepared for disapointment. There was 18 people altogether and without the good company of each other we would likely have packed up and left. A honeymoon couple we met paid... more
