The Sultan is the former Hilton Hotel in Jakarta, but in my opinion, and at least on the Executive floor of the Lagoon Tower, the standards of service are much better than they would have been at the Hilton. Great hotel and good buffet spread. Nice breakfast! The Sultan is nestled amongst lush greenery and therefore is secluded from the hustle and bustle yet its right in the city. Great pool and nice rooms. Staff and service can be improved to match the hotels good standards. more

There are lots of restaurants in the hotel. We spent the afternoon at the pool and had our food brought to us there. My husband used to live at this hotel as a child when it was still the Hilton. Unfriendly unmovable and typifies all the bad things about Indonesia. I love the pool and the hotel breakfast is good and the hotel has potential but it is ruined by uncomprimising staff who cant think outside rules that make little sense. So much potential so little effort! more
