We paid about $60 for a poolside room and were very happy. The room was nice and was quiet and the bathroom was good. The hotel is large and fun to walk around. We only ate breakfast there and we liked the large buffet. There were lots of families with children there. The laundry rates were not cheap so we... more

The Grand Mercure Yogyakarta is absolutely a good value... For about 50 euros, you'll have a nice room well decorated and well equipped with TV, DVD player, safe... and all the amenities of a Five stars hotel. We booked for an Executive room during our last stay and the size of the room was pretty good with a small living... more

We arrived in Jogja on 17-May-08 and received by the Grand Mercure pick-up at the airport. From there we realized that we have chosen a right hotel to stay in Jogja. Before actually booking the hotel, I was confused between Melia Purosani & Grand Mercure. I finalized Grand Mercure and it was the right decision. I do not want to... more

Standard room is a bit small, but still good value. If possible upgrade to the rooms around the very nice swimming pool. more

What a fantastic hotel! The staff is perhaps the friendliest I have ever met, from the doorlady (?) to the bellboy, the receptionists, housekeeping staff…..everyone seemed genuinely happy to do their job (and looked stunning in their Javanese uniforms!). The hotel property is a beautiful blend of colonial and Javanese décor and the rooms are well-appointed, although a bit small.... more

A wonderful hotel with so much charm. Pleasant and helpful staffs. The marble floor along the corridor was so well polished that you don't even wanna walk on them. A well spread buffet breakfast. Alot of thought and care is given to serve the guests well during their stay. They even call to inform you that your room service is... more

If you like your hotels with an old world charm, then this will definitely be your cup of tea. Styled very much in the same way as many 'colonial' hotels around the world, it comes complete with spiral staircases, antique phones in the lobby and a fountain in the courtyard. The service is excellent! The restaurant is quite good too,... more

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. It was a great deal. We felt very safe and things were very nice. Like a 4 or 5 star by US standards. Staff are helpful with booking trips to Prambanan, Borobudur, etc. Pool looked nice but we didn't actually try it. The "Middle East Food Festival" on while we were there... more
