Singapore is a beautiful, but expensive town, especially for a budget traveller or backpacker. However the Harbour Ville Hotel, offers good value and is clean and friendly. We paid $40 a night through Asiarooms. It is not luxurious, but doesn't claim to be. Our room, on the 8th floor, had a relatively comfortable bed, tv, fridge and lots of storage... more

PROS: Cheap, clean CONS: Noisy, not great breakfast, distance to shopping, dodgy security no locks just a chain to the door. We checked in at 1am after a long flight from Japan/ HAwaii, and was woken up by loud moaning noises, and footsteps can be heard from the room. more

The hotel is simple but clean, good for value. The location is a little bit far from MRT Station, a short bus journey, but not too much hassle. The room is bit small, but at least clean and with comportable air conditioning. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing which I can't stand is their breakfast, really not healthy... more

After reading reviews we decided to go for it and booked a 10 night stay at the Harbour Ville. For the money we thought it was very good. Because of the earlier reviews we did not expect too much from the breakfasts but did find something we could eat even if its was just toast and jam, the green jam... more

If it's a clean, comfortable and inexpensive night's stay you're looking for then this hotel is ideal. A $5 SGD cab fare into the city centre, the hotel is quite central and the reception desk is helpful.I cannot fault it for value. more

Frankly speaking, this is one of the lousiest hotel i've ever stayed in. However, for the price, I supposed I am not in the position to complain. Everything was so basic, the bed was so hard, the blanket was so thin, and any view from the window was non existance. The only plus points I can think of was the... more

Booked this hotel and pre-paid for four nights through Expedia. The furnishing of the room was basic, but both the bedroom and the bathroom were clean. Breakfast is included - don't expect it to be from a first class restaurant, but at least it's hot (as long as you get there before 9:30AM) and not bad for the room rate.... more

This hotel is worth the price you pay for. I got a deal for 4 nights for US$200. Only problem is the location. Way out of town. Harbourfront MRT is not walking distance or 1 km. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel. You can take busses from there to the MRT. Takes about five minutes. If you... more

Ok so the Harbour Ville is never gonna be in the Sheraton/ Le Meridean league but at twenty quid a night what can you expect?! For the price we paid the Harbour ville delivered. We spent 3 nights in a superior room. The room although not particulary large ,was certainly bigger than the room we had just left in HK.... more

I really liked the hotel, the area was great it was a little ways out of the main city but Chinatown was only 2 mins away by bus one way and a huge mall Vivo City a 10-15 min walk or short bus ride the other way. The rooms were a average to good size, the bed was comfortable and... more
