I stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel Quito June 26 - 29 in order to attend a wedding in the suburbs. I regularly stay at Marriotts in order to earn points, and the only previous "J.W." brand I visited was in Washington D.C. Thos was my best Marriott experience to date. It is a beautiful hotel - the lobby has... more

We stayed at this hotel 2 days pre-cruise (1-day at Hostal Santa Barbara, see other review) and 1 day post cruise as part of our 10-day Celebrity Xpedition Galapagos cruise package, a cruise and a ship not to be missed. The hotel is exquisite-just what you would expect for a 4-5 star hotel, with spacious, clean, quiet rooms with tv... more

Just what you would expect from The Marriott, great service and American pricing. The staff is excellent, the rooms nice and large, TVs are old, beds are not up to Marriott standards. The bathrooms are huge with shower and tub. Good location. Pricey. A good place to use up your reward points. more

This Marriott is probably the best that you can do in Quito. The only problem is that Quito's best is still not quite ideal. The hotel is beautiful and in a beautiful setting. Many of the rooms have almost inspiring views of the surrounding mountains. The interior of the hotel is also tasteful and stylish. There are shops and restaurants... more

After a long six months in Quito, and a series of travels throughout Peru, me and my parents ended our trip staying at the luxurious JW Marriott. Out of all the places we stayed, the Marriott was definitely the most Americanized hotel. It was what anyone from the United States would expect. Located directly within the heart of the city,... more

The following is my letter I sent to the Marriott: We took some guests down to Quito, Ecuador last week and had a very poor experience at the Marriott hotel in Quito. The following is a brief summary of the major problems, and while my time is very limited, I think it is incredibly important this is put in writing,... more

We stayed here as part of a trip organised by Celebrity Xpedition on the way to the Galapagos Islands. The hotel is very attractive and we were allocated a lovely room with great views on the 7th floor. It even had a balcony. As we were tired after the long flights from Uk we had room service which was OK... more

My wife and I spent 4 nights in Quito for a short getaway, the Marriott is a great place to stay with a lot of amenities that make you stay pleasant. If you want a more Ecuadorian atmosphere choose another place, if you want plenty of room to roam around , this is it. The pool is great, Ecuador does... more

We stayed in Quito for three nights pre and post a Galapagos cruise and wanted somewhere that was central, close to the airport, comfortable and with a nice swimming pool. The JW Marriott fitted the bill. It is the most modern of the international chain hotels in Quito. The rooms are big, well kitted out and comfortable, with vast marble... more
