Rumi Punku is an excellent place to stay, as many reviewers already stated. Good location a little uphill, warm room with plenty of hot water (not obvious in Cusco), excellent breakfast and free internet (2 computers). But this place is quite expensive. In August 2008, the price for a double room was 80US$ - many guests come here after following... more

Seven of us stayed at the Rumi Punku for three nights in early August. It was a great location in Cusco...a ten minute or lesswalk from the Plaza de Armas, but also close to lots of restaurants and shops, and a short, but uphill walk to the San Blas neighborhood. The hotel is lovely, with beautiful plants and a courtyard... more

The hotel was close to the Plaza de Armas, about 5-10 minute walk. It was also close to San Blas (up hill of course). The staff at the hotel were really helpful. No problems with hot water, especially after hiking for five days in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Really comfortable beds. Breakfast was also excellent. TIP: If you... more

We spent three nights at the Rumi Punku before our Inca Trail trek and one night after. I already told Sergio that if I wasn't already married, I'd marry him since no matter what I asked him to do, the answer was "Yes, not a problem"! Jorge and the others at the Rumi Punku were just as accomodating! We had... more

I would join the rest of the reviewers to say this is a great mid range place to stay. They were v helpful when we had to change the dates slightly in view of the national strike in Peru more

I stayed at Rumi Punku with 3 friends (two rooms) for 2 nights before and one night after hiking the Inka Trail. Jorge, the hotel manager (?), greeted us upon check-in and showed us to our rooms. The rooms were clean and adequately spacious. The bedding on each bed was very plush and comfy. Each room had a television with... more

my 2 girlfriends and i just returned from our trip to machu picchu and our stay at the rumi punku (or 'rumi puuunks' as we like to call it)... it is a quaint little paradise behind stone walls in which the friendly staff offers service fit for the incan gods. we LOVED jorge! we were especially thankful for the prompt... more

We stayed at Rumi Punku for about 3 nights at the end of May. The staff was amazing, food was great for breakfast (and available early enough to catch your train to Macchu Picchu or flight back to Lima). Room was clean, water was always hot. Beds were nice a warm/comfy. The bottled water in the office was cheap. Would... more

I would recommend Rumi Punku as a great place to stay in Cusco. It has a good location, just a few minutes walk from the plaza de Armas and close to many shops, restaurants, etc. The rooms were warm and comfortable, spotlessly clean with hot showers. Free internet access and tea all day in the dinning/sitting area. As well as... more

We spent 3 nights before our hike and another 2 nights the following week. Coming back to it was like coming back home! We (10 of us) truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel. It was quite a beautiful place to stay. A lovely courtyard in the middle. Big dining room for the wonderful breakfast. The staff is very... more
