(1) The rooms: Sadly, it is not just the interior rooms at the Olivar which are musty.... we had an outside room overlooking a lovely park which reeked of mold and mildew. After sleeping here, my husband had a sore throat and headache from the awful, thick cave-like air. Very noisy as well. The rooms facing the park are those... more

The Sonesta Posada del Inca El Olivar is located in the heart of the embassy district, which as you can imagine is one of the most upscale neighborhoods in Lima. Lovely rooms, good service. Don't miss out on a visit to the rooftop pool area which is not well advertised within the hotel but is very nicely laid out. Restaurant served one of the nicest ostupus dishes I 've ever tasted. more

This hotel is located in a fairly quiet area of Lima, overlooking a park filled with olive trees. The only disturbances were the car alarms which seem to go off pretty frequently in Lima.
