Stayed here one night on the way to Machu Picchu. Appeared to be a very newly constructed hotel. The best bed and shower we experienced during our entire 8 days in Peru. Very convenient to the train station. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good. Property was absolutely beautiful. Telescope was set up on the lawn for viewing the... more

This is a beautiful new hotel in the Sacred Valley and just a two block walk to the train station. Restful, pretty landscaped grounds, good food in the restaurant, cozy upstairs bar and lobby sitting area under the bar. Staff was attentive, took us to the train station to Macchu Picchu the next day. From the grounds you can see... more

Our GAP tour stayed here overnight on the way through the Sacred Valley and on to Machu Picchu. This hotel must be pretty new. Rooms are located in 2 story buildings located around the property. At night you could see the moon and stars with a telescope on the property. We woke up to llamas grazing on the lawn. The... more

This hotel has amazingly beautiful grounds, filled with different types of brightly colored flowers. The hotel is a beautiful and bright terra cotta, and the rooms are very nice. The staff was very helpful and spoke some english, and the restaurant was very good. The town and the train are both a short, convenient walk. We enjoyed our first night... more

I stayed there in May with 5 brothers/brother-in-laws for one night and we loved it. We stayed there after doing the Inca Trail and it was exactly what we needed as it was very clean, hot showers, great breakfast, etc. The gardens were very nice also. I liked that it was not in the main square of town, but still... more

We loved the Pakaritampu. We were here on a "down" day, with nothing planned and hung out in the gardens on a beautiful sunny day. We walked the short walk into town. Great location for peace and quiet - a little oasis. We especially enjoyed the alpacas on "staff." The human staff was wonderful!!! The restaurant was OK - we... more

Beautiful hotel in stunning gardens. Very comfortable rooms with the biggest bed I have ever seen. Good food for breakfast & dinner. Strange set up in the bar, there did not seem to be a permanent member of staff and sometimes it was difficult to find someone to serve. On one occaision guests served themselves! The location was excellent, just... more

Our tour group with Southern Explorations spent one night at this hotel. It was beautiful. New Adobe cottage like buildings surrounded by flowering gardens. The setting is stunning and you can walk to the train station to Machu Picchu. Rooms were attractive with wood flooring. There is a lovely sitting room with fire place in the main building. Breakfast was... more

We just loved this hotel. It's not located right in the village, which is actually a great thing, because you don't get to hear all the noise from the *hundreds* of buses. However, it's just a few steps away from the train station, and even better, you still don't have to carry your luggage. Finally, it is in walking distance... more

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Pakaritampu. The gardens are beautiful! They make a wonderful impression. Our room was comfortable. The food in the restaurant for dinner was very good. I can't say the same for the breakfast buffet - scrambled eggs were runny, milk was room temperature, juices weren't sweet. Service in the restaurant is "iffy". It obviously depends... more
