Beautiful property in the Sacred Valley. The employees were very professional, friendly and helpful. Originally we were given a room next to a crying baby. We went down to the front desk and they immediately offered us another room. Our room was updated and spacious. The buffet breakfast was substantial and included a large variety of hot and cold items--including... more

The hotel is located in Yucay, a small village in the heart of the Sacred Valley. The hotel is quite charmy, but outside the hotel there is absolutely nothing to do. If you like some kind of ambiance, restaurants, shops, etc. you´d better stay in Ollantaytambo, where there are plenty of things to do compared with Yucay. Besides this, the... more

There's nothing in this town to explore, but the hotel is fantastic! It used to be a monestary, so the grounds are calm and delightful. If you want to stay in the original buildings then ask for a room in the 100s and 200s. The 300s-500s rooms were built after it was converted to a hotel. My room (200s) was... more

Stayed here for one night after a change of plan on a tour of South America. Arrived late and left early, so not able to tell you much. Had a very welcome glass of wine when we arrived, and breakfast, which was good, before we left. The thing that makes me remember this hotel was the decor. It was an old... more

We loved the sacred valley but I wish we would have stayed somewhere else. The address to the hotel says Urubamba but it is not in any sort of city. Instead it is a very small town of Yucay and there is not much outside of the hotel. When we first got there they showed us to a room that... more

I didn't stayed here but stopped for lunch and took some time to walk around the place. The buffet lunch was excellent, there was a charming Andean chapel and some native vendors in the gardens. It looks like a nice place to stay. more

This is a beautiful hotel in a nice setting. They have some renovated rooms and you should definitively try to aim for these. The older rooms are cold and ugly. Do not expect any service from this hotel. Things happen very slow. We asked for our check after having some drinks with friends staying in various rooms, and it took... more

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to cuzco and urubamba valley. At the valley we stayed at the Sonesta Posada del Inca, a beautiful hotel built in an old covent, but that is were the ¨beautiful¨ part ends. If you´re looking for good service, not even excellent; this hotel is NOT for you. My group consisted in 8... more

Spent 4 days and 3 nights at this hotel during December 2007. We went to Peru in the low season and paid $100 per night for a suite with a king-size bed. The hotel has two pet Alpacas which they posted on a short leash outside of our bedroom. The hotel is an old spanish hacienda built on top of... more

We had a very long room with four single beds all in a row, with small tables separating them. Very strange indeed! Other people in our tour group had different kinds of rooms, ranging from quite small to a huge suite. The room was quite chilly, as only one small radiator heater was suppiied for this large area. However, when... more
