We book this hotel for three days but we have just returned from 1 day at the palm garden lodge. The beds are beautiful but the bathroom is too simple to use. I visit Siem Reap several times yearly and patronise a delightful newish guest house on Sok San Road near the Old Market. The Palm Garden Lodge has 20 rooms, underpriced at $6-$20, a restaurant and bar. Very clean, quiet, beautifully decorated with Khmer artwork and blessed with a warm, friendly staff. I knew the first guesthouse of the owners Lida and Dein, which was a nice place already, but Palm Garden Lodge is just wonderful! All the rooms are newly renovated and beautifully decorated. My friends and I, total 7 of us stayed in Potted Palm for 3 days. Throughout the stay, all the staff are very friendly especially Lida who helped a lot in arranging the tour. Even though we have changed to another hotel on the fourth day, Potted Palm was still willing to help us to arrange for transportation and tour.... more
