Having read the reviews I was concerned about Hosteria Pehoe and tried my best to get a switch. I am so glad I did not succeed. The views from the Hosteria are amazing and not to be missed. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist me - a single female traveller... more

When planning my trip to Torres del Paine, I read all of the reviews posted here. I made a mental note to stay away from this hotel based on these reviews. However, they happened to be the only hotel that had availabiltiy and bothered to respond to my inquiries. My travelling companion and I were booked into a "Superior" room.... more

We are just back from a holiday in Torres del Paine National park where we (I, my wife and my 2 little kids) stayed at the Hosteria Pehoe for 3 nights and 2 days. Before going, when I received the hotel reservation suggestions from my travel agency Carlson Wagonlit in Santiago, I checked reviews on this hotel on the internet.... more

The scenery was out of this world but the service left a lot to be desired. Thank goodness for one of the waiters who helped us, as this place is situated too far from everything and doesn't offer you help with anything about the area. There are tours available at a cost but it's hard to find out about them... more

Fantastic views from a hotel situated on an island in Lake Pehoe. That's about all this hotel has to recommend it (apart from the friendly cats). Rooms are dirty with decrepid bathrooms. The walls are so thin that you constantly think your neighbors are about to move in. Food is terrible (although the waiter tried hard.) General impression of the... more

When we arrived at the hotel my breath was taken away by the beauty of it's location - edge of a lake, overlooking the Torres del Paine mountains. It doesn't get more beautiful than this in the National Park, or so I thought. Joy turned to extreme disappointment when we checked into our dirty, dingy room. Bathroom had not been... more

In what must be one of the most dramatic locations on earth we found Hosteria Pehoe in the Torres del Paine National Park. We stayed 4 days. It sits, alone, on a private island in the middle of Lake Pehoe at the base of the Cuernos del Paine. What could possible go wrong you ask? Well! after booking a "superior... more

The location of Hosteria Pehoe is unbelievable - absolutely worth experiencing - and it carries the hotel. Despite a mix-up in our rooms, we found the owners and employees very helpful. They made tremendous efforts to help us out. The food is pretty lousy (though the views from the dining room and upstairs bar are fabulous) and the rooms are... more

What a shame! This hotel is well-placed on the middle of Torres del Paine park with a stunning view across lake Pehoe towards Torres del Paine. However, the rooms range from awful (so-called 'Standard') to basic (so-called 'Superior'). We were assured on the phone that there was very little difference between the two with both being nice but we were... more
