I've been there for 2 days in May 2008. Close to the main shopping area. The hotel is surrounded by dingy stinking shops. Shady rooms screaming for renovation. Pros: - Close to the city centre - Good food (but stay away from ice cream refrigerator - disgusting stale ice cream) - English speaking staff Cons: - stinking hotel surrounding -... more

I stayed at this hotel in May 2008. Altogether its a pretty reasonable place. The location is excellent in downtown Harbin, right opposite the main shopping street and a few blocks from St Sofia church and the Jewish temple is down the street. The hotel is only 2 stops from the station on Jingwei Jie, the bus stop is directly... more

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights and we though it was a decent option in Harbin. It is close to many eateries and is very close to the main shopping street. Easy to get taxis to and from the main sites. The staff were excellent. Not only did they sort out a fight with a taxi driver... more

This hotel is NOT a short walk to the Ice Festival, as noted in this hotel's description. I have lived in Harbin for four years. I was looking for a hotel to book some friends in. I noticed that the main page of this hotel indicates it is a 5 minute walk from the Ice Festival in Zhaolin Park. That... more

Reservations messed-up. Made reservations by Internet on Holiday Inn’s website for standard room with extra bed & breakfast for 3rd adult. Breakfast was supposed to be included for the 2nd adult too. On arrival, none of these reserved extras were ready. We were able to get the bed in for the 3rd adult but wound up having to pay extra... more

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights from January 5 until 9 during the Harbin ice festival. Upon check in the hotel receptionist seemed confused at my passport and had problems finding my visa stamp. The problems didn't end there they requested to see my credit for deposit purposes..which is normal for any hotel but proceeded to CHARGE a... more

I had a few reservations at staying at this hotel as Harbin is not as popular as other areas of China. However upon arrival the staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was lovely in the morning with a huge range of foods. This is a fantastic hotel considering its in a fairy remote part of the world. more

It isn't the best hotel I've ever stayed in, but it works. Clean, good location and helpful staff. Porters were great in getting cabs, giving directions. Staff have decent English. Breakfast was filling too. Harbin is SO cold, that it is nice to be in a central location. You can pretty much walk anywhere -- and then come back to... more

Great location and nice, clean modern hotel, close to everything. Stayed for 1 night during the Ice Festival and chose this hotel for price, and cause we get "Priority Points". Pleasantly surprised. No problems and would happily stay again! more

We went Harbin for the ice sculpture festival in Jan. 07. The Holiday in was a good location. We were able to walk down the main street, walk to the ice festival in the local park, to St Sophia and the river. The bell captain was very helpful with arranging transportation to the two other ice and snow festival and... more
