We spent 5 nights at the Red Mangrove as our base in the Galapagos. The hotel is small and the rooms are quirky -- some better than others. We were in the Turquesa which was a good size and close to the water. Mornings on the deck with local wildlife, including a sea lion, were great fun. The staff were... more

A whole week of sunny, blue sky with lots of activities for all my family members wouldn´t have been perfect without The Red Mangrove, the cutest corner in the islands, our center of operations. A revamped 10 cozy rooms Inn, surrounded by shining green mangroves, walking distance to Darwin's Station, with a warm-hearted, professional crew, who gave us an unusual... more

I just got back from the Galapagos and spent 3 nights at the Red Mangrove Adventure Inn. It is my kind of place - beautifully set into a grove of Mangroves so it blends into the landscape and it also keeps it naturally cooler. I stayed in the Suite Minor, which was just lovely. Very clean, working air conditioning, tv,... more

It was a stunning experience. Galapagos Islands is nature pure and I had expected it but I had not expected that in the Red Mangrove you already have the feeling to be IN that nature - a part of it. Entering through the mangroves you get excited and wants to know what is behind it. The hotel, located in or... more

We stayed at the Red Mangrove for 4 nights in the Verde room. Although the room was smaller than I expected the view was fantastic! The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked great. The staff was very friendly and we found enough staff who spoke english to meet our needs. They even let me use the reception desk's computer... more

The room costs $150 least expensive room to $360 per night, includes complimentary breakfast. I easily made reservation on line and payment through PayPal. Website pictures only show $360 night rooms with flowers and notice all the pictures are taken at night. Hotel is literally on a mangrove, rooms are makeshift. We stayed in the Lila room for $150 a... more

Dear Mr./Mrs. Enderart, We thank you for sharing your opinion with us. Please bear in mind our prices are based on an increasingly demand to the Galapgos Islands that has a limit of total visitors, fair to our service standards and bellow to what cruising boats charge. Our infrastructure with only 14 guestrooms is matchless and unique because where it...
