It's hard to describe our stay at Ranthambhore Bagh in words. I guess, that says it all! Our family of 3 visited Ranthambhore in March '08 and chose to stay in a tent. I was amazed to see how well it was done up and how comfortable it was. The tent comes with an attached bath with solar powered hot... more

You could have two completely different experiences at the Ranthambore Bagh, depending on whether you are staying in a tent or a room. We spent one night in each. The tents are quaint and cute. The rooms are damp, stuffy, and (there isn’t a politer way to put this) prodigiously ugly. The good part: -They picked us up from the... more

Just a brief word . What I liked best about staying here is the egalitarian nature of the tiger safaris- it doesn't matter where you are staying or how much you pay, or perhaps, wonders of wonders, who you are, every resort is entered into the lottery and therefore it truely is pot luck as to the odds of seeing... more

We stayed for 3 nights and booked a tent. I was apprehensive about staying in one as they are usually cold and uncomfortable and I like my creature comforts but I need not have worried. OK, so they aren't full of luxuries and are quite basic but they have ensuite shower, yes the shower curtain doesn't do much as the... more

A grossly overpriced dump - dreadful, stark, dark rooms; bathrooms even worse; very ordinary food. I cannot believe anyone could sensibly give a hotel like this anything like a 5-star rating. The website is a masterpiece of exceptionally clever window dressing of a very, very ordinary hotel, even by Indian standards. Also not a single sign of the owners -... more

We stayed last month at the Bagh and I must say we were all disappointed with the standard of the hotel. The rooms were clean enough but the bathroom is not exactly great, it was a wet room style so the toilet and sink get wet if you dont close the two shower curtains properly and you have to clear... more

We stayed in the room in the main building. This was fine although the beds were hard (common in India though). However, the room wasn't as nice as the photo on their website indicates. Otherwise the website gave a pretty accurate impression. It was cold when we were there and a room heater was provided. Bathroom was fine, hot water... more

We stayed 2 nights in a luxurious tent at Ranthambhore Bagh, and loved it. The tent had a double bed, flush toilet and hot running water and shower. In addition, since it was quite cold at night, we were provided heaters as well! The hotel is very comfortable, food was delicious, and our jeep safari guide, Salim, was superb. We... more

Our experience (in mid Jan 2008) was a little different to the previous reviewer (that happens). We had a three day package and really can't say enough positive things about The Ranthambhore Bagh. Here a few points for readers to consider: Pros: Every aspect of our package was exceptionally well organized and ran like clock work (and we are fussy!);... more

We arrived on Christmas Eve by train and I had emailed a few weeks earlier to arrange a pick up but they missed this in my email so no one arrived. Over the Christmas/New Year period it was only possible to book a 2 night package which included the room, all meals, two safaris in a canter, a trip to... more
