We spent three nights at Paradiso Village and wished we could have stayed longer. I don't want to repeat the other reviews as they are very accurate (in terms of travel times, food and the cottages) but I will add a few details that were unique to our experience. This trip was planned as a little get-away for us and... more

I found this Island by chance on trip advisor and spent 6 nights there from the 24th of April. It lived up to all we'd hoped for and more. Whilst it was our honeymoon the hotel attracts all walks of life from back packers to honeymooners/adventurers, but most of all those looking for genuine seclusion. Unlike the comeercialised Maldives, this... more

We just came back from 3 days at Paradiso Village and had a wonderful time. The island is as close to deserted as we've ever come across ( unlike the Maldives, say, where the resorts could be anywhere) The cottages are very simple, no TV, power shower etc but this really doesn't matter. The beds are so comfortable we slept... more

We stayed at Village Paradiso for 10 days in Sept 2006 and loved every minute of the experience. It was an incredibly relaxing low key place (no TV or radio or organised entertainment), with hospitable hosts and like-minded guests. We were a little concerned before arriving about the all inclusive meal deal but all the meals were outstanding. We looked... more

We been there in the early January. The driver met us at the airport and 2 hours later we were met by the owner of the hotel. We spent there 6 unforgettable days. The owners were hospitable and friendly, and did there best for perfect rest. It is a very quiet place, cosy, with excellent sea and beach. The hotel... more

My husband & I were looking for a place to go over our anniversary in early Dec. I read about Paradiso village in TIME magazine when it came out in Aug, and was reminded of this place again when a friend mentioned it to us. So, we decided to give it a shot since we have always been keen to... more

4 of us stayed at Paradiso Village recently - we had the entire resort to ourselves for most of the time so it was lovely and quiet. The resort is on the edge of an extinct volcanic crater and looks almost like an alpine lake when the sea is still! We had a cottage sea facing - from the outside... more

We came upon this gorgeous little resort, called Cubadak-Paradiso Village (West Sumatra, Indonesia) purely by chance when someone left a travel brochure in the employees' kitchen. As we were always eager to leave the smog of Jakarta, we decided to plan a little getaway to this mysterious little resort, run by an Italian family. We communicated with the resort via... more
