We stayed here as part of a Kumuka Anzac Day tour, and loved it! I was originally dubious after hearing that we’d be staying somewhere with no electricity, let alone it being a raft, but after two days, I was a total convert. The complete escape from all technology, including TV’s, was bliss. Make sure you bring a torch, as... more

It was certainly a wonderful experience. My wife & I stayed 2nights/3days. It wasn't easy getting to the Resotel pier from Bangkok, but some how we managed to get there. With a non-English speaking taxi driver it was a challenge. *** Remember "RESOTEL PIER" .... thats where you have to go to take the long-tailed-speed boat to the rafts. But... more

The raft experience should be experienced simply to say you have done it. Travelling up river by longtail boat to your digs, makes one feel like a real traveller and it somehow feels like you are the first person to have discovered this majestic place. Be warned however that the accomodation is basic and with no electricity, showering in cold... more

We stayed there as part of our package tour to River Kwai. Amazing experience. We got our own bamboo hut on a raft. With a veranda and hammocks. No electricity there - but it only adds up to the experience - oil lamps at night etc. No airco (of course, no electricity ;)), but it wasn't a problem - as... more

We had chosen this hotel because of its strategic locale along River Kwai and unique architecture style. However, the locale turns out to be a great disadvantage and an obstruction to traveling, especially when the hotel charges an exorbitant fee of 750 Baht for a trip to and fro the ferry terminal. What is worse, this fee was not made... more

This was one of the most pleasant surprises for us during our stay in thailand. Booked a raft-room which is floating on the river and the other side is dense forests all over. Evenings in the balcony with the melody of the river flowing with sunset adjacent to the forest was mesmerizing. The staff was very courteous, meals were reasonably... more

Great views, great atmosphere, and terrific fun for the kids. It was a highlight of our trip to Thailand, and totally recommend it. The staff are fantastic, the simplicity of the accomodation was a highlight, and the river location very pretty. The local Mon villagers were very friendly. Loved it. more

This was included as part of Imaginative Traveller's Thailand Family Tour. The longtail boat journey to the hotel was worth the cost of a night here alone, zipping through the jungle past bathing buffaloes and brightly coloured kingfishers, before finally arriving around a bend to see the amazing site of this hotel. The place consists of a long row of... more

My partner and I stayed here in Feb 2006. We enjoyed the longtailboat ride to the rafts as we were watching every curve in the river wondering if they were around the next bend. We found the rooms adequate and enjoyed jumping into the river, floating past the long line of raft houses, climbing up the ladder at the end... more

RIVER KWAI JUNGLE RAFTS-The longtail from Resotel Peir had us at the Jungle Rafts in 15 mins. They had our name and were expexting our arrival at the boat .They Rafts look great just sitting in the middle of nowhere up the river. We were greeted with a cuppa and our keys-to 3 rooms, one each, think there may have... more
