We stayed in Marriot for one week first week of May 2008. BY default, when on business trip, this is our favorite choice. However, I was not impressed with this Marriot at all, perhaps it is mostly because its high price and extra "unadvertised premium" for the usage of pool. Overall, it is a good busy stay because of its... more
Had chosen this hotel, like the Swissotel Nankei Osaka, based mainly on its great location on top of the JR subway and Shinkansen bullet train station. Upon arrival from Kyoto, we just followed the overhead signs in the train station that led us to the hotel. Had to take two lifts to our check in area on the 36th floor... more
We travel internationally frequently including over 75 nights / year in Marriotts. This hotel -- all things together -- is one of the best two or three Marriott's in the works. Impeccable service, great concierge lounge and room views from, in our case the 40th floor. The AC system worked perfectly and noiselessly. They say it's one of the best... more
If you want a nice hotel with great service, in the most convenient location in Nagoya - stay at the Marriott Nagoya. The hotel is located right above all the connecting trains and buses, which houses a maze of underground shopping and restaurants. It is also a direct shot if you take the train to and from the Nagoya airport.... more
I stayed here 3 nights with my wife. Our business partner booked us for Yen 22,500 per night. When I presented by Marriot Elite card, they reduce the rate to Yen 15,500 per night all taxes included. Perhaps it is not the peak tourist season. I posted some photos of the room at www.geocities.com/marriotassocia The room is quite large for... more
This is a fantastic Marriott located literally above the Shinkansen station, making it absurdly convenient. But apart from that, it's a top-notch city hotel (if a little soulless) in the centre of Nagoya. The rooms are beautiful, luxurious and have stunning views. Very 'lost in translation'. The breakfast was great and the concierge extremely helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. more
Just returned from a 2-week business trip there. Overall, the hotel is really classy with a refined and beautiful decoration -marvellous Christmas ones, in particular-. My room, although nicely furnished and cosy, was particularly small, and my bed was not comfortable. Also, it was a bit noisy due to the nearby train station. Fortunately, the bathroom was brand new, very... more
Stayed at the Marriott Associa Nagoya for 2 nights of a 10-day China and Japan business trip with my boyfriend...I tagged along. We got into Nagoya in the evening and the company my boyfriend was doing business with picked us (10 or so guys + me) in a bus for the transport to the hotel. We were last in line... more
I've stayed here twice now on business and I have no desire to stay anywhere else. It has all the amenities of a first-class hotel and it can't be beat in terms of location. It serves as a perfect base anybody who needs to travel to/from Nagoya Station. If you want to save on food, there are plenty of restaurants... more
