Arrived in Mauritius for our 2nd visit in 12 months, from an excellent flight with Air Emirates, via Dubai. First impressions of the Beau Rivage were excellent, attractive entrance, being escorted direct to our room after a very efficient, checking-in service. Rooms are decorated to a high quality; they are well cared for, being serviced twice a day by very... more

*Architecture* The hotel is built in traditional Maurician style (with straw roofs). The common areas (lobby, main restaurant and bar) are open on the outside, which gives a very tropical atmosphere (but there is no airco). The bedrooms are located in separate wings. There are now villas as well. They were beeing built while staying at the hotel last year.... more

This was our first trip since Junior was born 6 months ago and Beau Rivage was our first foray into the world of "Family Friendly" hotels. The staff were excellent and all very taken with the little'n . The room (lagoon suite) was huge and had a great balcony and sea view - but didn't feel quite up to 5Star... more

Hotel is in good location near lovely beach. The pool is great and the rooms are clean and spacious. Service however is pretty patchy, you often need to repeat drinks orders and they often arrive well into your meal. Worst problem is the cost. Large beer Six Euros, Cheapest wine 38 Euros. It is more expensive than Canary Wharf!!!! more

a great, relaxing holiday. we are a family with a child aged 4 yrs and one 16 months. the place itself, the water sports, the staff, the food, the mini(kids) club:everything is so good! It is so well thought from the kids' perspectives and hence great for parents. There were also families with older children or couples on honeymoon. Nice... more

Having endured a 60 hour journey with two small children, from the UK, due to Emirates delays a tangible wave of calm was experianced when we entered the Beau Rivage. The central concourse with beautiful thatched roof and a wonderful aromas, flower displays and water features to welcome you, then the rooms themselves, which are built in colonial style blocks... more

Our check-in to Beau Rivage took a good 1 hour even though there are just barely 4 other couples that were at the reception area. There were more than 1 reception staff available but most of them were just standing around chit-chatting instead of helping the guests to be check-in asap. Understand totally that this is a beach resort and... more

We booked our honeymoon from the holiday place as we got the cheapest price from here which included everything. Flight was with Emirates from Birmingham INT to Dubai, then From Dubai to Mauritius. We were greeted in Mauritius by a lovely chap who helped us with our luggage, and drove us to the hotel. He gave us a mini history... more

Stunning location on east coast of Mauritius; beautiful gardens; on beach - sand like flour, so white and fine; beautiful pool (though shallow); wonderful service; would recommend for families with young children, and therefore perhaps less suitable for couples or older families (maybe time of year meant more kiddies than usual). All prices in Euros - not cheap. more

We stayed at the Beau Rivage between 09/01/08 and 21/01/08, and have to say that we were struck by its beautiful beach location, and the comfort the rooms and hotel surroundings gave. However, it should be mentioned that we were moved here from the newly built Hotel Tamassa (see separate review). As the flagship hotel of the Naiade group, this... more
