We enjoyed our Spring stay In Kyoto at the Nashinoki Inn. Quite easy to find from the directions supplied when booking. The delightful couple serve a wonderful Japanese breakfast in their sparkling clean establishment and the only problems likely to occur will be with your knees!!!! We stayed here in April on a one day trip to Kyoto and were very happy. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station, but the lodgings were nice and very clean, and the innkeepers were very kind. We really enjoyed the breakfast and would definitely stay here again. more

Stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed a very peaceful, calm atmosphere. Owner is very friendly and helpful, with lovely Japanese breakfast. Very well located for trains/buses/subway and in a quiet street. 11pm curfew (like many similar places) is the only potential drawback. Not too big so no competition for the bath! Free bicycle hire is fantastic. more
