It's true that this is a lovely, bright, clean, friendly hostel. We were travelling round Japan on a budget but this was the only place we stayed that didn't have a Japanese-style bath (ofuro) and didn't supply the traditional Japanese yukatta (dressing gown). New. Beautiful rooms. Perfectly clean. Great reception. Terrific common room and kitchen. Cheap bikes to rent. No shoes but (their) slippers, regularly cleaned by a modern Cinderella. The best hostel ever, the receptionest will always try to help if they can with any questions, provide grt info on travelling arround kyoto.
