Just stayed here for 3 weeks - and as the title says - I can't fault it. As a Royal Ambassador, I did get treated very well with a room upgrade to Exec Suite, and a free mini-bar. However, the hotel is immaculate, and the service is second to none. In fact, sometimes it is almost TOO good and I... more

I'm currently staying in the intercontinental. Have been here 3 weeks and still have 2 to go. I must be easily pleased as I'm struggling to find anything wrong with it - and I've stayed in plenty of hotel over the years. The staff are very friendly and very obliging. The services has been excellent and prompt. The hotel is... more

I've stayed at the Shangri-La and Peninsula during all my other visits to Makati and will stick to those in the future. The InterContinental is an ok hotel, but not up to the level of the other properties in the area. I was suckered into the "upgrade" for club level amenties at 2,000 PHP per night. DO NOT DO THIS!... more

Stayed at the InterCon for 5 nights. Just to give you my perspective, I visit Manila at least twice a year and I stay in Makati primarily; often at the Shangrila, Ascot, or Peninsula. This is my first stay at the InterCon...overall, it's not a bad hotel but it's not worthy of the "InterCon" brand as I've been to other... more

my partner and i stayed at intercontinental makati for 9 nights. we were planning on staying in prince plaza but could not sleep after just 2 nights ( but that's another story) so we opted for a better but more expensive hotel. upon our arrival the concierge was 'amazed' that we were staying for that amount of time. and informed... more

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and loved it..Manila isnt the nicest place to go in the world, but this hotel was a real haven in the middle of the city..the hotel is located next to the best and most secure Shopping Mall in manila which contains all of the western outlets, restaurants and shops ( M&S,Debenhams,Hard rock cafe,Planet... more

My husband, I and my two young daughters booked two rooms at InterContinental Manila from Feb. 10th to 13th, 2008. We specifically requested for connecting room because my two daughters are 8 and 11 years of age. When we arrived, a male guest service staff behind the front desk arranged our rooms and he gave us adjacent rooms. I explained... more

Stayed in the Club Junior Suite. Upgraded on Ambassador status. Staff initially did not want to give the promised upgrade to junior suite as confirmed in email prior to my arrival. Had to reason out with the staff for a while. This is a great disappointment, considering the reputation of intercon and me being an ambassador member. Room size is... more

A superb property with high level of service you expect from a hotel in Asia. Rooms are smaller than standard American and feature contemporary decor and full bath. Spotlessly clean and very quiet. Attentive staff person on each floor. Like all hotels in the Philippines, be prepared for a somewhat hard mattress. Try the Jeepney deli/restaurant for great breakfast, especially... more
