We are fairly experienced B&B goers and our all too brief stay at Hartzell House was near perfect. Hartzell House is 30 minutes (22 miles) from Fallingwater and Frank Lloyd Wright's lesser known gem, Kentuck Knob. We booked the Traveller Room at Hartzell House (one of 3 rooms) for 3 nights. We were in the area to visit Fallingwater and hike around the area. The house is beautiful and the breakfasts were excellent and very healthy. The hosts use the freshest products and are mindful of dietary restrictions. We have just returned from an excellent one night stay at the Hartzell House. There are 3 rooms, one with a private bath. The other two have sinks, but share a large bathroom. The house is newly rennovated and kept spotlessly clean. Available for the guests is a lounge with TV and music system. There are a selection of CD's... more

A delightful bed and breakfast near deep creek maryland. The husband and wife team were gourmet chefs in our opinion as vegetarians! Cooking was creative, bathroom was cute and bed was heavenly. A lovely quick (2h) getaway from Pittsburgh! more
